Do I need a credit card?

No. The Free plan needs no card and never expires: up to 5 engineers, 1 team, 3 routing rules, 2 escalation policies, 2 schedules and 100 alerts a month, with unlimited push, e-mail and outbound webhook notifications, integrations and API. You add a card only when you upgrade to Paid.

Is there a free trial?

It is not a trial: the Free plan never expires and nothing is ever charged on it. When you need phone calls or SMS, more than 5 engineers or more than 1 team, upgrade to Paid. Your own seat stays free and each teammate is $3 per month, with no annual contract.

What happens after 100 alerts in a month?

On Free, alerts beyond the 100th are still stored and visible in the dashboard, but nobody is paged until the counter resets on the first day of the next month (UTC) or you upgrade. The monitoring tool that sent them still gets a success response, never an error, and duplicates collapsed by alias never count. On Paid every alert is routed: the first 100 each month are included, then 10 cents each.

What is not in the Free plan?

Phone calls and SMS (responders get push and e-mail instead), AI insights, more than 5 seats, more than 1 team, and more than 3 routing rules, 2 escalation policies or 2 schedules. Everything else is the same product: integrations, outbound webhooks to Slack or any URL, the API, the mobile apps, schedules with overrides and the iCalendar feed.

How do I upgrade?

The organization owner opens Settings, then Plan, adds a card and confirms. Teammates with a seat become $3 seats on the spot; the owner's seat stays free. Phone calls and SMS switch on with the next alert. To move back to Free, contact us: the change takes effect at the end of the paid period, and there are no refunds for time already paid.

What support do I get?

Free: e-mail support, best effort. Paid: priority support with a reply within one business day. Both plans get the same status page, the same documentation and the same mobile apps.

How is this different from PagerDuty?

PagerDuty Free gives 5 users and 100 phone or SMS notifications a month; PagerDuty Professional is $21 per user per month billed annually (September 2026) and sells AI, analytics and status pages as add-ons. IgniteOps Free gives 5 engineers unlimited push and e-mail and 100 alerts a month; Paid is $3 per teammate with your seat free, calls and SMS per delivery at our rate for the destination, and no annual contract. IgniteOps does one job: it gets a human on the phone.

Can I migrate from Opsgenie?

Yes. Opsgenie has not been sold since June 4, 2025 and shuts down on April 5, 2027. IgniteOps uses the same building blocks: integration keys, routing rules, escalation policies and schedules, all manageable through the REST API, so your setup can be recreated by script. Where is my data hosted and how is it secured?

IgniteOps runs on AWS across multiple regions, so one region going down does not stop paging. Login is passwordless with email codes, the mobile apps support MFA and biometrics, integration keys are team-scoped and revocable, and you can request deletion of your data at any time.

Does it work with Slack or Microsoft Teams?

Alerts come in from anything that can call a webhook or the REST API, including the monitoring tools your Slack alerts already come from. Paging goes out over push, e-mail and outbound webhooks on every plan (an escalation step can post to a Slack incoming webhook or to any URL, which is how Microsoft Teams and other chat tools are wired today), and over voice and SMS on Paid. Native chat integrations are on the roadmap.

What happens if nobody acknowledges?

The escalation policy keeps going: next step, next responder, on every channel they chose, until someone acknowledges from the call keypad, the email link, the mobile app or the dashboard. Step 1 emails the whole team so everyone has visibility.

Can I pay annually or by invoice?

Monthly by card is the default. Pay-by-invoice billing is available for teams that need it; contact us. There is no annual commitment and no discount tied to one.
